I am a Counsellor & Psychotherapist based in Colchester Essex CO7. I have many years working in the NHS and experience of working with people who come with a wide range of different conditions, such as low mood, depression and anxiety. This will impact in many different ways, such as having a low self-esteem and heightened self-criticism, or feeling sad. This may then manifest in difficulties in relationships, or feeling stuck and overwhelmed with life, or perhaps a general lack of confidence and self-belief. Very often these ingrained patterns of belief link to past events and early relational experiences, past abuse, school bullying or bereavement. Every experience and how it manifests is unique to each individual.
In a non-judgemental and safe environment, we work together to help you make sense of what is distressing you. We will have space to explore your difficulties to help process and heal experience, and to enable you to gain a better understanding of your emotional self. This will allow you to make important shifts in your life, so you will feel more in control and empowered.
I offer long term, or time-limited counselling, according to your individual needs. I work with adults from 18 years.
