I am a Counsellor & Psychotherapist working in Colchester, North Essex. CO1 & CO7. I have many years working in NHS mental health services with specialist experience in a breast cancer diagnosis, neonatal loss, anxiety and depression.
People come with a wide range of different emotional difficulties, which impacts in many different ways - perhaps as low self-esteem, heightened self-criticism, lack of motivation, or a general feeling of sadness. This tends to manifest in a low mood and depression, often impacting on relationships, feeling stuck, overwhelmed with life, or a general lack of confidence and self-belief.
Very often these ingrained patterns that have been around many years and will link to past events and early relational experiences. Every experience and how it manifests is unique to each individual.
In a non-judgmental and safe environment, we work together to help you make sense of what is distressing you. We will have space to explore your difficulties to help process and heal experience, and to enable you to gain a better understanding of your emotional self. This will allow you to make important shifts in your life, so you will feel more in control and empowered.
I offer long term, or time-limited counselling, according to your individual needs. I work with adults from 18 years.
